Alyssa Hull is a recovering scientist who lives in the small (but charming) state of Delaware. A lover of data and of words, she currently splits her time between teaching high school biology + environmental science and writing speculative fiction. She has experience in developing, aligning, and assessing curricula for chemistry and biology in higher ed and has previously worked at cultural institutions in the US and Norway, using her academic background in chemistry to study the paintings of artists such as Edvard Munch and Pablo Picasso. Her other professional interests as an educator include citizen science, increasing participation and retention of marginalized students in STEM, and involving the arts in teaching about climate change.
